We need to buy a new car seat for arora she is only about 1 lb shy of the weight limit on hers now. Anyone have any great experiences or bad experiences with one? We don't want to spend too much but like the idea of just buying one more so an all in one would be nice...

Holly - I've been looking around at convertible car seats too as Rowan is almost too tall for his. We didn't have to buy one with Chandler because my sister gave us hers, but it is about 7 years old and he will need a new one in a few months too. I think we are probably going to be getting the Evenflo Triump Advance. It has great reviews and ratings from all the research I've done. They run around $115 on Amazon with free shipping. If money weren't an issue I'd definitely get the Britax Roundabout. Britax car seats are by far the best carseats you can get and are super safe. They are all over $200 though :(
I hope you find something that works. Try the carseat message boards at Ivillage.com too. It's another great resource. Hope you find something soon!
I'm so glad you posted, because it reminded me to check Mady's car seat limits. 22 lbs and 29 inches. She's almost 18 lbs and she was 27 inches, so I think she'll outgrow in length soon! She has her 9 month on Monday! Is Arora going in next week? Hey, btw how is your classes going?
We just got the cheapest all in one at Walmart for the twins. So far they're ok now that they're forward facing. I'm not really sure what's supposed to be better about the expensive ones?
Holly- I got my second daughter an Eddie Bauer 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat. I bought mine on the internet, but they sell them at Target. It runs around $170, which I thought was way too much, but I'm glad I did. It reclines to better fit the back of my seat and much more comfortable for road trips and naps. She also loves that it puts her high enough to see out the window and doesn't have huge pads on the side to restrict her veiw. I bought a less expensive Eddie Bauer version from Target a couple years ago for my oldest daughter, and I must say I like the more expensive one better. If I could do it over again, I would bought a better one for my older daughter. Here is a link if you want to see a similar one to the one I got: http://www.target.com/Eddie-Bauer-Deluxe-Convertible-Seat/dp/B0010735CW/sr=1-2/qid=1222807458/ref=sr_1_2/601-9812967-2067324?ie=UTF8&rh=k%3Aeddie%20bauer%20convertible&page=1 Good luck with your search!
