Arora turned One today! I had been feeling quite emotional about this but today went well. We started the day by both Dave and I going in to her at 6 when she woke up and singing happy birthday. We played all her favorite games and even read her favorite book over and over. We were able to borrow a friends camera and we did a 1 year old photo shoot. I think some turned out really good. I will load them up tomorrow. We went to pick up her free cake from the bakery but the cake decorator was off for the holiday so she will have tomorrow. She enjoyed opening her gift from us, a little push along bike. David is having a hard time putting it together though. We filmed Arora picking out her clothes this morning which she loves to do. She almost always picks purple. Arora also loves songs with actions and signs. She has started to try to mimic me when I sing the ABC song and finger spell along with it. She even looks at David like "come on dad there are action!" Even though Dave doesn't do many signs with her. I wonder what her next sign will be. Arora walked to me today. It was a great gift. I wonder when she will start really walking. Altogether it was a nice relaxing day. It will be nice that Arora will never have to go to school on her birthday, but I is kinda hard having it on a holiday. So many of our friends were on vacation or busy. We are planing a little party for next week.
January: Arora was born and had moderately bad jaundice. Our picture was in the paper for being the first baby born in the county. Was choking and had to have an apnea monitor.
February: At 6 weeks I realize we have not filmed her at all, and so we get out the video camera. We just finished our 4th tape. Smiled for a picture on Valentines day.
March: Has her first cold turned ear infection.
April: We drive to Oregon to have Arora blessed and to see all our family. We start a mom's walking group that walks everyday through July.
May: Arora rolls over both ways.
June: Learns to sit up and starts to eat rice and bananas.
July: We moved! Visited family in Utah. Arora learned she has to sleep on her tummy to sleep well.
August: Started crawling on the 13th, one day after my birthday.
September: Arora starts having Stranger anxiety, especially with loud men.
October: Get her first two teeth. Starts cruising, walking by pushing a box. Loves a spider Halloween decoration that moves.
November: Arora went on her first plane ride and did great. Met a lot of cousins and loved playing with her grandparents kitties.
December: Starts to pick out her own clothes. Has favorite toys, foods and people.

Happy birthday Arora!
Wow, has it already been a year?? Happy Birthday Arora!
Happy birthday Arora. We didn't forget. We didin't call but Josh and I excitedly told Kaylee, "It's Arora's Birthday today!" when she woke up in the morning (well, it was mid day because she slept in. She and HAnna stayed up till midnight on new years eve)
