Yippee!

We have officially night weaned Arora, and for the last 2 nights she has slept all night! 12 hour and 11.5 hours respectively with out waking up at all. I feel so refreshed in the morning because I get more sleep now then I have in a long time. David has been so wonderfully supportive too. He got up with her for the first 2 nights and helped her to get back to sleep. Arora is getting more and more independent. She loves to help brush her hair and her teeth. She is fascinated with shoes and constantly wants to put them on and off her stuffed animals. Although she doesn't like shoes on her own feet. Yesterday she took a tissue and ripped it into a million pieces then stuffed them in one of David's shoes. She also has this little book about Humpty Dumpty it has a button that you push and it plays a tune. Well she plays with it all the time and now the battery must be dying because it is all distorted. She doesn't mind, but it drives me crazy.
Arora loves putting things in the trash and when she gets a diaper change will hop up and take the diaper to the nearest trash can. We have had to teacher "yuck!" to keep her out of the trash. And now she says "uck" too and is very proud of herself when she knows if something is "uck". We love going to the local library, they have these theme kits with all kinds of fun stuff. There are books and games and puppets and videos that all follow a theme so far we have checked out "bees" "turtles" and "daddies". Arora loves the bees best. Most of the things are way past her ability but she loves the boxes and begs to get them at the library.

I loved those backpack kits at the Madison Library! We did the new sibling one when I was prego with Jonas and it seemed to really prep Carson. Yeah for getting some sleep!!

isn't weaning wonderful. I am so happy it is working for you two. A well rested mom is a better mom especially for a toddler. I am sorry she was so sick.

Hooray for sleeping through the night! I'm still learning how to adjust, because when she did it three days ago, it was literally the FIRST TIME she had ever slept through the entire night.

I also just have to say that Arora is incredibly adorable in those two photos. I especially love the one where she looks so surprised.

I'm curious what you are doing to wean her...Lexi wakes probably 3 or 4 times during the night mostly just for a binkie. The last time she slept through the night was when she was like 6 months old. I am soooo ready to have her sleep through the night again! I hate getting up. Any suggestions? I'm ready to make her cry it out again...

Good job Holly! Am so happy for you. I agree with Stephanie. You're a better parent if you're well rested. I love you. I tried the french bread recipe by the way and it turned out really good. Thank you so much.
