When Arora was born I had a goal to nurse for at least the first year. It was hard sometimes, like when I started school agian, but so worth it. A few months ago I was getting tired of nursing so we started to focus on weaning. We have slowly stopped nursing as much, and have been offering more food and drink to Arora.
Yesterday, we stopped nursing for good. I talked to Arora about how mommy's milk was all gone and that we can still have loves and cuddles. We have been having more cuddles and more big hugs. We are keeping very busy too so there isn't as much time for boredem nursing. So far it is going great. I think Arora understands there is no more nursing, and that I love her.
I am so gratful that I have been able to nurse my daughter, it has been a great bonding experiance for us. It amazes me how grown up she is, almost a year and a half.

Holly, I am so proud of you! The beautiful relationship that you and Arora share is very evident. You have been a beautiful nursing couple, and you will always treasure your memories of your nursing time with her!
Holly, I think it is wonderful that you have been able to nurse beautiful Arora. I think being able to nurse is such a wonderful blessing. I know that not all women can nurse their children.(Health or other issues) I agree with Kathy you will always remember it, even if she doesn't. GOOD JOB!! By the way we sure like having you guys up at the big house. The blueberry cobbler was wonderful.
