Today I made Arora some finger paint it was really easy and highly washable too.
I got the recipe from Familyfun.com
"Sure it's messy, but in the summertime, cleaning off finger paints can be as simple as dashing through the sprinkler. Here's a recipe for washable paints that will keep your artists well supplied.
Mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1/3 cup of cornstarch in a saucepan, then slowly add 2 cups of cold water. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until the mixture is a clear, smooth gel. When cool, stir in 1/4 cup of liquid dishwashing soap. Scoop into plastic containers, and stir in food coloring drops ."

Thanks for sharing! Are those ice cube trays? We've tried fingerpainting with pudding and whip cream.. but mostly we just eat it ;)
Looks like tons of fun! Good for you!
Sounds like fun. We've just used the water based poster paint that comes in the big bottles at the store, but the cornstarch sounds fun too.
Is that a Trogdor apron you're wearing? Eric has a Trogdor labcoat, but now I'll have to make him a new one for when he starts teaching.
No, it's not Trogdor, but that would be really cool.
Arora seriously loved that finger painting. Holly is really encouraging her creativity. (And it's a good thing, because Daddy always cringes at messes like that!)
Michael would LOVE finger paints! So, I love the way the white text looks on your blog, but it's invisible in my Google Reader! I keep thinking that you are posting pictures with no words!
