Arora's first hair cut

We took Arora to have her first hair cut on Friday. It had been getting ling and scraggly. This is the before picture. I realize I only have pictures from the back for before and after. Anyway, Arora hated the haircut. We took her to Even's Hair school here in town. the girl did a really nice job of trying to be quick and make it look nice. The hair cut cost $5, but I also gave her a $5 tip because she was so nice. She gave Arora a lolly pop afterward and Arora was instantly happy again. I think it looks very nice and am glad we took her.

p.s. I got one from the front today.

awww... You'll have to post a dry pic. Was it hard on you?

It was okay. I wasn't emotional about it. The hardest part was holding her still, and trying to stop her from kicking the girl.

I love the look on Aurora's face as she is cutting her hair. :)

Maybe next time you should let her hold YOU on HER lap for a haircut first, and then she will see it's ok. Hah! She looks darling.

this brings back memories. Jason's first haircut. He did not like it either. I think you have a good idea give the sucker after the haircut less messy. We always gave Jason one during, bad idea hair sucker. Gross!

Oh you added a new pic. She's so pretty.. you guys are in trouble! Her hair is SO long! There's a little girl in my ward who is a few months older, and still doesn't have ANY hair..

Wow, what a difference. Even though she obviously cut off an inch or so, it doesn't really look much shorter, more like a clean up job. She looks more grown up now! (I still can't believe how blonde her hair is.)

Michael has had two hair cuts now, and he's okay with them...what he really hates is the cape, so we've done them without. Other than that he wants to keep looking at the scissors!
